Day 365! (or is it Day 366?)

It's been one year exactly since I started this blog. As you can see I stopped posting regularly long ago, but this blog has been on my mind.

How was this year? I've been living my dream - started the Life Alchemy School (showing others how to live their fullest life). I've been raising my family - Ali just started using the potty. This may sound mundane, but it's very exciting. Teo has been acting up a storm - he has an agent and a manager. He recently starred in a short film and has tons of auditions for other projects (big and small). India is growing up - new boyfriend, thinking about college, no time for parents, etc. I've been falling more and more in love with my husband - the world's most amazing partner (at least for me). We moved to a new house. We did some travelling (domestic travel only, but still good). I published a book: The Inner Game. I had many, many parties. I let people know that I loved them.

I wish I had done more traveling abroad, spent more time with friends (and less time in front of the tv or computer), and had taken more time to have more fun in each moment. All in all, I think the project was a success. What do I want for next year?

-complete a triathlon (compete in my 10th Anniversary of the LA Tri or finish a Half Ironman)
-start a PhD in Psychology program (and/or do the hypnotherapy certification)
-have 100+ clients/students: helping them all connect to their most golden and amazing life
-travel to Machu Picchu
- start painting again/have gallery exhibition
-publish my book Right Brain Guide for Left Brain Professionals
-create Mojo Coach show
-make sure the people in my life know how loved and appreciated they are
-have 7-figure year in my business
-be in gratitude and joy every single day

I am grateful for you dear reader. Thanks for being on this ride with me.

Day 220

So I haven't written in quite a long time. I lost the momentum and the project lost it's urgency. Something happened yesterday that brought this back up for me. My 22 year old cousin committed suicide. While this death was his choice, again I was faced with my mortality and making sure I'm living as fully as possible.

I want to run through the checklist and make sure that the important things are being done. Do the people I love know I love them? I believe they do. Am I living my life's purpose? Lord knows I'm trying. Am I savoring all of this world's pleasures and being grateful? Again, I'm trying. I'm feeling pretty good about my report card, but I want to live more fully and outrageously.

Day 51 – 8.3.10

Eleonore came over and we worked on our reality show. Later I had some phone meetings and then my mastermind group.

It was Day 7 of the Master Cleanse and I phased out today. I made the most delicious vegetable soup I'd ever had. The great thing about the Master Cleanse is that you can so appreciate the flavors of food when you're finished. Actually the soup had my whole body tingling with the sensations from the vegetables. I was practically high from the experience. It was funny.

I also committed to a 30 day blogging challenge - I'm going to blog every day. And it's not even for this blog (where I've already committed to writing daily). It's for my Equilawbrium blog. Don't I have enough on my plate? What's with me? Seriously, what's with me? I'm pathologically busy sometimes! I can't help it. I love what I'm doing. And I only have 314 days left.

Day 50 – 8.2.10 - Life Alchemy Workshop

We had the first Life Alchemy Teleclass tonight! It was thrilling and we have 5 amazing women in the class from all over the country - New York, New Jersey, Texas, Idaho, and California! Those saucy minxes all waited until the last moment to sign up, but they committed to this amazing class and amazing transformation. Yeah! I'm pysched! Can't wait until next Monday!

Day 49 – 8.1.10 - Agape and Calder's B-Day Party

Today I went to Agape. I almost didn't go because I spent so much time there yesterday. I felt compelled to go. And for good reason... Mark Victor Hansen was there and giving away free Chicken Soup for the Soul books. I waited in line to see him and remind him that he's going to write a book with me. :) I didn't get to see him, but I made a new friend and I got a free book. When I got home I e-mailed to let him know that I'd seen him and ask him again to write the book with me. I'm so cheeky! I love it. :)

Afterwards, I went to Calder's and Stella's 2nd birthday party. Brooke always has very aesthetically pleasing birthday parties. I was inspired. Check out these adorable cupcakes!

Day 48 – 7.31.10 - Memorial and B-Day Party

I was asked to volunteer at a memorial service today at Agape, and I said yes. I didn't know the person who passed. I had seen her around, but I'd never met her. I feel like I know her now and she was evidently an amazing woman. I was moved to tears by all the amazing words of praise that everyone said about her. The words most used to describe her were: "radiating love," "compassion," "passionate," "living fully," "creative," "dancer," "singer," "joie de vivre," "uplifting," "spiritual," "beautiful," "fully in her femininity." I fell in love with this woman who I'd never met, just by listening to the outpouring of love from her friends and family. I feel very uplifted by having participated in that service today. It's helped me recommit to living my life so that when I pass on my friends and family say those types of things about me.

The theme song of the memorial service was “I Hope You Dance.” It's so beautiful, I'm posting the video here:

Afterwards I went to my neice Cleo's 2nd birthday party. It was a lovely little party, but it was hard to not be eating. Day 4.

Day 47 – 7.30.10 - Master Cleanse and Life Alchemy Workshop

It's day 3 of the Master Cleanse. I'm definitely feeling more energetic. Today I also sent out reminders all over the place for the Life Alchemy Workshop. I'm nervous because it's in 2 days and no one has signed up yet even though several people have told me that they will take it. Ok. Breathe. Trust.

Day 46 – 7.29.10 - Master Cleanse and Auction

It's day 2 of the Master Cleanse. I'm in a sour mood. I'm not hungry, just ornery. I think this is good for me. I know this is good for me. I've done this before and I know that the first few days any emotions that I might have stuffed down with food start to come up. First few days are emotionally raw and then I start to feel great. ... I hope.

In other news, I went to the auction. I picked up two awesome Chinese prints for $5 and got a free runner from the Bentleys. FUN!

The Chinese Prints. Forgive me... this is not the best photo.

Day 45 – 7.28.10

Day 1 of Master Cleanse. Is this a good last year activity? I think so. I've been feeling bloated and full of crapola. I feel like a detox will do me well. Feeling my best is what this project is about.

Day 44 – 7.27.10 - Meetings and Synergies

This morning I went for a run with Eleonore. We planned our show, which was great. Later I had a fun talk with another lawyer coach I met in San Diego last week. We had great synergy and may work on some projects together. How fun! Tonight Peter and I figured out how to create a podcast and I uploaded it onto my website. I feel like I've become so tech savvy!

Day 43 – 7.26.10 - Teleclass

Katie and I held our free teleclass tonight! It was scary but exhilarating. The feedback was fantastic too. We had 30 people on the line which is amazing. Oh, I'm alternating between feeling high and feeling sick about what I should have said. I think for this project I'm going to let go of beating myself up! That is neither a fun nor productive way to spend my last days. Anyway, if you want to check out the podcast of the class, you can do so HERE.

We have one week before our Life Alchemy Workshop begins. I'm so excited about it and really want to attract the perfect people to attend. I think anyone who feels attracted to this will be the perfect person. Do you want to do it? :)

Day 42 – 7.25.10 - Farmer's Market

A new Farmer's Market opened up down the street from our house. We went to check it out today. Peter had been there once before, but it was my first time. It was really great. Today was Salsa Sunday. They had two types of salsa lessons: salsa dancing and salsa making. It's a small market, but it's really adorable. I was thrilled to go and support my local farmers and artisans.

When we got home my beloved brother Chris was in our back yard painting our adirondack chairs. He's having his 40th birthday party at our house next month. It's a White Party theme -- everyone is going to be dressed in white and he wanted the furnishings in white too. He asked if he could paint our chairs. They were rather beat up with fading/flaking red paint. I was more than happy to say yes. He's happy about the theme and I'm thrilled to have my chairs looking pretty and pristine again.

Went to the Farmer's Market – enjoyed salsa lessons. Chris came over to paint chairs. Yeah!

Day 41 – 7.24.10 - Bike Riding

Peter, Aliza and I went for a bike ride today. We biked to the library and then Ali played in the park a little bit. I love biking around the neighborhood. It was really fun. Later I planned my teleclass with Katie. We're having a teleclass on "Releasing Blocks to Success" on Monday. I'm nervous, but excited!

Day 40 - 7.23.10 - At the Beach

We had a beach day today. Peter, Ali & I went to the beach with Efua and Cleo. The water was cold, but the weather was gorgeous. As you can see from the girls' squeals of delight they loved the waves and being at the ocean. Word of warning: put the volume down when you watch the video. Did I mention that the girls are squealing/screaming? It was really fun though.

I find that because of this project I'm taking more time for these types of things... things like beach outings on a Friday afternoon, hiking on a Monday morning, road trips to San Diego. I'm spending more quality time with Ali, Peter, and other people we love. It's really great.

Day 39 - 7.22.10 - San Diego

We went on a road trip today. Peter and I drove down to San Diego for a business conference. We went to hear Fabienne Fredrickson speak about abundance mindsets. On the way down we stopped and picked up Justine. It was fun to have a road trip and we got a lot of food for thought about ways in which we block our good. I'm hosting a free teleseminar on Monday night about blocks to success, so I enjoyed hearing her take on these types of blocks.

Day 38 - 7.21.10 - Jumping on the bed

Ali and I jumped on my bed today. I pulled her up for a cuddle and she started to jump. I was going to protest, but then decided to join her. The thought crossed my mind that it might be bad for the mattress, but who cares? I can always get a new mattress. Jumping on my bed with my giggling 23 month old is priceless.

Day 37 – 7.20.10 - Good Working Day

Self-Realization Fellowship at Lake Shrine

I'm not sure I took the time today to make it really special. I wanted to go to the Self-Realization Center at the Lake Shrine and do some meditating in a very beautiful location, but I ended up staying on my computer and mostly working today. Tuesday is one of my main work days, so that makes sense. I wish I could have gone to the Center, but I got some great work done (mostly planning my upcoming Life Alchemy Workshop) and I had a fantastic uplifting Mastermind Group session. This year is not about beating myself up for what I could have done. I'm focusing on celebrating what is.

Day 36 – 7.19.10 - The Hike

I woke up this morning around 9 a.m. this morning and cuddled with my hubby. Aliza woke up around this time so I brought her into bed with us and we all cuddled for a little while before having breakfast.

I really wanted to go for a hike, so we decided to hike in Kenneth Hahn Park. I carried Ali in the Ergo and we took Marley along too. We hiked for a little over an hour -- it started getting hot and we were all starving. As I was hiking around meadows and through a hummingbird gardens, I felt so lucky for my life. I work from home at my schedule, and I love what I do. My hubby also mostly works from home at his schedule, and he loves what he does. Two days a week Ali is in day care, but the other days she is here with us and we play most of the day. It's easy to focus on what's not working as well as you'd like in your life, but I made a point to notice today about how much is going right. Sometimes I have to pinch myself to believe that I have actually created this life. I am savoring this year, but I dearly hope it's not my last.

Day 35 - 7.18.10 - Family

I went to Agape this morning and then my brothers and their families came over this afternoon. I'm not sure if I fully express how grateful I am that my siblings and I get along so well. I truly love spending time with them. What's great is that my daughter also loves her cousins. In particular, she and Cleo (shown above) are total BFFs. They squeal with laughter whenever they're together. It's awesome!

Day 34 – 7.17.10 - Chinatown and Date Night

Ali and I in LA's Chinatown

My sister, Aliza, and I went to Chinatown today. I wanted to get goodies for packages to send to the Life Alchemists - the members of my Life Alchemy workshop. I hadn't been to Chinatown in years and had forgotten how cute it was. Actually, I'm not sure I'd even been to this really cute section of Chinatown. We had a really great, though too short time checking out the shops and exploring the hood.

Later Peter and I had a date night -- two in one week! This is a post-Ali record for us. My angel of a sister watched Aliza, and Peter and I headed to a housewarming party in Silver Lake. He hung out until about 10:30 and then caught a late romantic dinner at Home Restaurant in Los Feliz. The evening made me rather feliz. The food was delicious, spending quality time with my husband was awesome, and the yummy, but dangerous Hazelnut Latte Martini definitely got me giddy.
